गोलाकार पट्टी आणि पुढे जोडण्यासाठी फासा अस 'चित्तांग'च स्वरूप असतं. 'चितांग' 'चितिका' या नावाने ही ओळखला जाणारा प्राचीन संस्कृतीमधील वैविध्य जपणारा दागिना ही स्त्रियांची आवडीची बाब
'चिताक' चा संदर्भ आठव्या शतकाच्या आधीपासूनही आढळतो. मूळचा कर्नाटक शैलीचा हा दागिना पण पुन्हा नव्याने प्रेमात पडावं असा आहे. महाराष्ट्रात चिताक या मूळ शब्दाऐवजी चित्तांग या नावाने तो ओळखला जात असे. लहान मुलांच्या मनगटामधल्या ‘बिंदल्या’प्रमाणेच परंतु मोठय़ा आकाराचा असा हा गळय़ात अडकवण्याचा दागिना होता.

- Store it separately, ideally in a soft-lined box or case, so that your favourite pieces don't tangle, rub or scratch one another. Pearls in particular should be kept separately as they are easily scratched by hard gemstones.
- Make sure chains and necklaces are fastened when storing to avoid tangling.
- Remove jewellery while cooking and cleaning.
- When storing jewellery, please keep it away from sunlight, excessive heat or damp conditions.
