प्राचीन दागिन्यांमध्ये सोन्याची नाणी गुंफून केलेला ‘निष्क’ हा दागिना प्रसिद्ध होता. त्याचा १६ व्या -१७ व्या शतकातील महाराष्ट्रीय अवतार म्हणजे पुतळी हार म्हणता येईल. छत्रपती शिवरायांचे कुलदैवत तुळजापुरची श्री तुळजाभवानी. या महाराष्ट्राच्या आराध्य देवतेला राज्याभिषेकाच्या मंगल प्रसंगी त्यांनी जे दागिने भेट दिले त्यात १०१ पुतळ्यांची माळ आहे, जिच्यावर एका बाजूस जगदंब प्रसन्न व दुसऱ्या बाजूस शिवछत्रपती असा नामनिर्देश केलेला आहे.
खास पुतळी ताटे बनविली जातात व त्या ताटांची माळ केली जाते. या पुतळीवर दोन्ही बाजूनी प्रतिमा कोरलेल्या असतात.
अत्यंत पारंपरिक असा हाराचा प्रकार म्हणजे पुतळी हार.
